Imperial Splendors with Berlin

About Bratislava

This is a magnificent journey through the former Habsburg Empire. It visits five of Europe’s most intriguing cities; from Munich with its many historical highlights and the Marienplatz head for the “Golden City” of Prague to visit the 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle grounds, St. Vitus Cathedral and more. Travel via Bratislava in Slovakia, where a special lunch with local specialties awaits you, to Budapest in Hungary and Vienna in Austria. In both Budapest and Vienna a Local Guide will take you into the main cathedrals, and in Vienna enjoy an entire day at leisure, which gives you the possibility to visit Schönbrunn Palace. Of course a romantic cruise on the Danube River (departures April 12-October 4) with Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake) is included, before entering The Sound of Music country on your way to Salzburg, where you will see Mozart’s birthplace during your guided walking tour. A special treat is a taste of traditional local candy, the chocolate Mozartkugel and Doppler Konfekt, and dinner is included at a local restaurant to try traditional dishes, before returning to Munich. Transfer by high-speed train to Berlin; enjoy three nights and guided sightseeing with picture stops at the Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust Memorial. All services, including Local Host assistance, are provided by Monograms.
